Support for Teens
Teenagers today are navigating a lot—academic pressure, social stress, identity development, and constant comparison through social media. It’s not always easy for them to put what they’re feeling into words, and it’s just as difficult for parents to know how to help.
Therapy provides a space where teens can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what they’re going through.
What I Help With
Common reasons teens begin counseling include:
-
Anxiety or constant worry
-
Stress related to school or performance
-
Low self-esteem or confidence
-
Mood changes or irritability
-
Social struggles or isolation
-
Family conflict or communication breakdown
-
Difficulty managing emotions

How I WorkWith Teens
I take a supportive, practical approach to working with teens. My goal is to create a space where they feel comfortable being themselves without pressure or judgment.
In our work together, teens can:
-
Learn how to manage anxiety and stress
-
Develop healthier ways to cope with emotions
-
Build confidence and self-awareness
-
Improve communication skills
-
Feel more in control of their reactions and decisions

Parent Involvement
Parent involvement is an important part of the process, while still respecting the teen’s need for privacy and independence.
I work with parents to:
-
Provide general updates and guidance
-
Support communication at home
-
Help create consistency and stability
This balance allows teens to feel safe opening up, while parents stay informed and supported.
Reassurance/Transition
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step—for both teens and parents. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting.
If you’re noticing changes in your teen or feel like something isn’t quite right, it’s okay to ask for help.
